A Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We had a beautiful day here at the ranch with almost perfect weather of about 72 degrees and sunny. Everyone enjoyed a morning horseback ride, brunch, and an afternoon activity in the large riding arena. We had 7 different events including - sling shot, potato sack races, horseshoes, “calf” roping, “calf” dressing, ladder-ball, and “barrel racing.” Thanks to all the families who have returned for for there 2nd and 3rd Thanksgiving weeks in a row. We hope to see you all next year as well!

Please be aware when you are traveling to the ranch from November 4th through March 9th we are 1 hour later than Las Vegas and California. If you fly into Las Vegas and land at 1:00 pm it is really 2:00 pm at the ranch so you will not make it in time for a 4:00 horseback ride as it is a 2 1/2 hour drive. Current Time in Arizona

There is an old Indian saying…
To live a full life
You must be of this world &
Live in your dreams
Thanks for following your dreams
and creating a little bit of heaven on earth of the rest of us.
You are all an inspiration with the purpose filled life you live daily.
We came, we rode,
we hurt, we laughed a lot
and created new friendships.
We steeped our souls in the solitude of the desert
beauty and the mountains grandeur
and are leaving restored
and ready for more adventures.

“Cancer is part of my life. So is camp!”
We had another absolutely amazing week from October 28 - November 3, 2007 with the “Children’s Oncology Services Inc.” or COSI, from the greater Chicago area along with Wisconsin and Indiana. There were 29 kids and 13 chaperones who participated in the 3rd straight year of “Dude Ranch Week” at Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch. The entire group was amazing and inspirational to us all as we had a week packed full of activities and fun. For more information on the COSI group and how you can support their wonderful mission please visit their website at http://www.onestepcamp.org. We were honored to host them and look forward to seeing them back again next fall!

Children’s Oncology Services, Inc. (COSI) believes that a diagnosis of cancer should not prevent a child from experiencing the simple joys of childhood. Through the One Step At A Time programs, COSI offers camp experiences and educational programs throughout the year that allow children with cancer to just be kids. Our programs offer fun, friendship and support in a safe and nurturing environment.
